ARRIVAL AT SCHUYLER MEADOWS

Players will not have access to the host club facilities prior to the time registration/driving range is scheduled to open (see above).

 

REGISTRATION

Players must check-in at the NYSGA tent, located near the cart staging area, during registration (see above).

 

GOLF CARTS

The golf carts at the club will be staged upon your arrival with cart signs to help you quickly locate your ride. Each cart will have a bottle of Saratoga Spring Water, snack, Notice to Players (Rules), tee package, and the scorecard for the players in the other cart.

 

DRIVING RANGE

The use of the driving range is included in your entry. The driving range will open at 10:00am. A shuttle service will pick up players from the cart staging area.

 

FOOD SERVICE

Halfway house (#10 tee) is available (cash only). Clubhouse is closed until dinner.

PLAYER DINNER
Dinner is included. Guests may attend ($50 fee, paid by check or cash at registration). Menu to be posted here when available.

The NYSGA does not have a group hotel rate assigned for this Championship. Local hotel recommendations are noted below:

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Practice rounds are NOT available.

 

LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
Listed below are a number of important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this Championship.

 

  • RULES OF GOLF; WHEN COMPETITION IS FINAL. Play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and R&A. Questions are to be referred to the NYSGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. The result of this Championship is final when the Championship trophy has been presented.
  • NYSGA LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION (HARD CARD). Download the 2019 NYSGA Hard Card (click here).
  • GOLF BALLS; DRIVER HEADS. Model Local Rules G-1 and G-3 are in effect. Visit the USGA website for a list of approved golf balls (click here) and driver heads (click here).
  • PERSONAL APPEARANCE. Players must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing.

 

EVACUATION PLAN
In the event of a discontinuance of play during this Championship, players must immediately return to the clubhouse and seek shelter.

 

PLAYER CONDUCT

Players and/or their guests must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times. Any excessive display of anger, vulgar language, club throwing, alcohol abuse, illegal drug use, lack of golfing etiquette or disrespect to a fellow player or any other individual may be grounds or disqualification from any tournament. The NYSGA reserves the right to revoke a player's tournament entry, without a refund, at any time for conduct deemed inappropriate or damaging to the NYSGA.
