This player is on the Blue tee, the slope is 134, the rating is 71.2 and the par is 71.

We calculate the Course Handicap as index * slope / 113 = 2.1 * 134 / 113 = 2.490.... We apply a CR - P adjustment of 71.2 - 71 = 0.2. The resulting Course Handicap is 2.690....

 

After rounding, the Playing Handicap is 3.
