WELCOME

On behalf of the NYSGA, we'd like to welcome you to the 2021 NYS Men's Four-Ball Championships, hosted by the Otesaga Resort's Leatherstocking Golf Course!

GENERAL LIABILITY WAIVER
All players are required to complete the
NYSGA's General Liability Waiver.

 

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, players are expected to read and adhere to  the NYSGA's COVID-19 Tournament Policies and Procedures.

PAIRINGS
Click here to view the first round's pairings. Second round pairings will be created based on score (ties broken via USGA method of matching scorecards due to tee time requests). Tee times will be alternated between amateur/senior amateur divisions so that the leaders finish at the end of the tee time block.

DIGITAL SCORING
The NYSGA will be utilizing the USGA Tournament Management app for scoring. Players are asked to download the app and familiarize themselves with the process (

WITHDRAWALS
If your team must withdraw, please contact the NYSGA immediately (champs@nysga.org // 315-471-6979) so we can invite the next team on the waitlist.

Sunday, May 23 - Round 1

  • 8:30am ...................................Driving range is open   
  • 9:30am - 3:33pm....................Round 1: Tee times from hole #1
  • 11:30am - 2:30pm..................Lunch on pro shop patio

Monday, May 24 - Round 2

  • 7:00am - 1:30pm....................Driving range is open
  • 8:00am - 2:03pm....................Round 2: Tee times from hole #1
  • 11:30am - 1:30am..................Lunch on pro shop patio
  • 6:00pm....................................Awards Ceremony

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS
Are available on Saturday, May 22 (see above) and any time after 2pm on Tuesday-Friday. The fee is $50 and includes a cart. Tee times are required, call the Leatherstocking pro shop at (607) 544-2547.

REGISTRATION
Each team will be required to virtually register prior to the first round at the Leatherstocking Golf Course, via a survey emailed/texted to all teams. Players will receive their tee gift at the starter's table, where you are requested to arrive 10 minutes before your starting time.

 

DRIVING RANGE AND PRACTICE GREEN
The use of the driving range is free for players (see schedule above). The driving range is located just north of the of the club on Route 80. There is a small putting located 200 yards from the clubhouse to the right of #5 green, which requires players to walk.

 

COURSE YARDAGE

The Men's Amateur division will play from the green tees (6,401 yards / 71.0 Course Rating / 133 Slope) and the Men's Senior Amateur division will play from the white tees (6,040 yards / 69.4 Course Rating / 130 Slope). This information reflects the standard yardage, which may be adjusted slightly for each round.

 

GOLF CARTS

The use of a golf cart is included in the entry fee for both rounds.

 

LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION

Listed below are several important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this competition.

  • Notice to Competitors: Please check your cart for the Notice to Players and NYSGA Hard Card.
  • Conforming Clubs and Balls: Visit the USGA website (www.usga.com) for a list of approved golf balls and drivers for the competition.
  • One Ball Rule: The “One Ball Rule” will not be in effect. 
  • Pace of Play: As a shotgun tournament, it is important that players keep in position for the duration of this tournament. Any group that falls out of position will be asked to catch up. Any subsequent warnings may result in a penalty.

 

FOOD SERVICE

  • Player Dinner: Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, there will not be a player dinner.
  • Player Lunches: A complimentary lunch will be provided during both rounds at the Leatherstocking Clubhouse's Grill & Patio (weather permitting). Guest tickets are not available. The hotel restaurants will be open and serving food to the public.
     

EXEMPTIONS

The winners of the 2020 & 2021 NYS Men's Amateur Four-Ball Championship will be exempt from qualifying for the 2021 NYS Men's Amateur Championship (Schuyler Meadows Club) and the 2021 NYS Men's Mid-Amateur Championship (Shaker Ridge CC).

 

DRESS CODE

The NYSGA will strictly enforce a tournament dress code with no exceptions. Collared shirts/mock turtle necks are required, and no jeans, denim, jogging outfits, or sweat pants are permitted.

 

PLAYER CONDUCT

Players and/or their guests must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times. Any excessive display of anger, vulgar language, club throwing, alcohol abuse, illegal drug use, lack of golfing etiquette or disrespect to a fellow player or any other individual may be grounds or disqualification from any tournament. The NYSGA reserves the right to revoke a player's tournament entry, without a refund, at any time for conduct deemed inappropriate or damaging to the NYSGA.
