Instructions for Mobile Scoring

The NYSGA will be utilizing the USGA Tournament Management app for scoring in 2021. The directions for players are noted below:

Getting Ready

  1. Download the USGA Tournament Management app
  2. Sign-in using the "Player GGID" (not with username and password)
    • DON'T LOGIN USING YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD
    • The "Player GGID" will be emailed and texted to players the morning of the event.
  3. Once signed in, you will see which player you are keeping score for (your 'marker' assignment)

Entering Scores

  1. After each hole:
    1. Enter the gross score for the player.
    2. Enter your own score in "Marker Notes" so you can check them when certifying (see below).
    3. Click "Save Score" to automatically be taken to the next hole.
  2. You can go back to a previous hole using the arrows to edit a score.

Certifying Scores

  1. After entering/saving scores for 18 holes, you will be directed to a page to review and certify scores.
    • All players MUST certify scores as both the Marker and the Player.
  2. If players are not taken directly to the review process, this can be accessed through the menu via "digital scorecards"
  3. "My Scores" view (right), you compare your marker's notes against the scores entered by your marker.
    • If there are no conflicts or inconsistencies, select "Certify as Player" to certify the scores.
  4. "Marker" view (left), you can compare the scores you entered for the other player with their markers notes.
    • If there are no conflicts or inconsistencies, select "Certify as Marker" to certify the scores.
  5. Once both of these certifications are complete, your scorecards have been signed and attested and submitted to the tournament administrator.
