TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- This Championship is open to male and female amateur golfers who are 14 years old or younger as of July 26, 2024*.
- Golfers must have an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index from a NYSGA Member Club.
- Golfers must be either (1) a resident of New York State or (2) an active NYSGA Member. If entering from a public facility, or a club without real estate, the entrant must be a resident of New York. Proof of residency may be required.
*The age cutoff is set to the corresponding date from 2023 due to the NYSGA moving the 2024 Championship dates several weeks later in the season because of scheduling conflicts.
ENTRY INFORMATION
- Entries: All players must register online prior to the deadline (see below). Entries by mail or fax will not be accepted.
- Fee: $150.
- Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Wednesday, July 31, 2024). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of the reason.
- Refund Policy: A portion of the entry fee, based on the schedule below, will be refunded regardless of reason if the NYSGA is notified via phone or email (315-471-6979 or Champs@nysga.org).

CHAMPIONSHIP, FORMAT & SCHEDULE
- Format: 36 holes, individual stroke play
- Divisions: There are two division competing in this Championship:
- Girls' 14U (24 players)
- Boys' 14U (42 players)
- Field Selection: If either division exceeds it's capacity, the field will be selected "low-to-high", based on the player's USGA Handicap Index as of the entry close date.
- Age Groups: In addition to competing in the overall Championship, players will also compete within the following age divisions: 12 & Under, 13, 14.
- Schedule: The tentative schedule of events is listed below.
- Wednesday, August 14 // Practice Rounds
- Thursday, August 15 // Round 1 (18 Holes)
- Friday, August 16 // Round 2 (18 Holes)
- Cut: There is no cut in either Championship.
- Ties: The player with the lowest score after regulation will be the champion. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a sudden-death playoff will be held immediately following play. If there is a tie for the winner in the Age Groups, the tie will be broken using the USGA's method of matching scorecards.
RANKINGS
This Championship is ranked by the AJGA PBE and Junior Golf Scoreboard.
CADDIES, GOLF CARTS, AND PUSH CARTS
- Caddies: Prohibited for practice and competition rounds.
- Golf Carts: Prohibited for practice and competition rounds.
- Manual Push Carts: Allowed (electric push carts are not permitted).
