FIELD SIZE, WAIT LIST, AND HANDICAP REVIEW
- Field Size: 104 players (52 - Senior, 36 - Super Senior, 16 - Legends). If either field does not reach capacity, open spots will be filled using golfers from another division's waitlist.
- Determining Field & Waitlist Procedure: Registration for this Championship is NOT on a first come, first served basis. The field is selected "low-to-high", based on the player's combined Handicap Index as of the entry close date. A player's entry will be added to the Championship's pending registration field and their credit card will not be charged. When entries close on July 30th, all players in each division will be ordered by their current Handicap Index from low-to-high. The players in each division with the lowest Handicap Index, based on division size (above), will then be approved by charging their credit card the full entry fee. Approved players will immediately receive an email confirmation confirming their spot in the Championship.
- Waitlisted Players: Any player that that does not earn a spot in the field will be placed on a waitlist ordered by their Handicap Index and notified of their status and order by email.
- Handicap Index Review: A player may be subject to Handicap review if they do not have at least five scores posted since September 1st, 2024. The NYSGA reserves the right to amend the field/waitlist at any time and for any reason.
