TEE TIME REQUESTS
The NYSGA will make an effort to accommodate tee time requests that are submitted (click here) before tee times are released.
PAIRINGS
Are released at least five (5) business days prior to the qualifier - you will be notified via email and text when they are posted.
CHAMPIONSHIP FEE
Qualifying players who advance will be invoiced the Championship fee of $225.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
The availability (if any) and pricing of practice rounds is determined by each qualifying site - contact their pro shop for more information. Clubs are not required to offer practice rounds.
TRANSFERS
Players may transfer their entry to another qualifying site, but must follow the directions below:
- Notify the NYSGA by email (champs@nysga.org) with "NYS MID-AM TRANSFER" in subject
- Once the NYSGA is notified, the player will:
- Before Deadline: Be moved into to the new qualifier.
- After Deadline: Be added to a waitlist for the new qualifier and moved into the field if a spot opens
- Alternates order on waitlist is sorted by their transfer email request date/time
- A player can change qualifying sites until 12pm the day before their qualifier's date
- A player that transfers qualifying sites after the entry deadline is not eligible for a refund if they withdraw, regardless of timeline
WITHDRAWALS
To withdraw, send an email to champs@nysga.org with the subject line "WD: NYS MID-AM Qualifier at COURSE NAME". No shows can result in suspension from future NYSGA competitions.
REFUND POLICY
A portion of the entry fee, based on the schedule below, will be refunded regardless of reason if the NYSGA is notified (315-471-6979 or champs@nysga.org):
- PRIOR TO Deadline: Entry Fee less $20
- AFTER Deadline: Entry Fee less $50
- WITHIN 7 DAYS of Qualifier: No Refund
GOLF CARTS & ONE-SEAT POLICY
The use of a golf cart is allowed - the fee to use a golf cart is included for qualifying rounds only.
The NYSGA One-Seat Cart Policy is in effect. If two players (or their caddie) are riding, they must take one cart. Either the player or his caddie can ride, never both at the same time regardless if a seat is 'open'. Failure to follow this policy is a breach of the NYSGA's Code of Conduct.
PUSH CARTS
The use of push carts, whether motorized or manual, is allowed.
CADDIES
The use of a caddie is allowed (not required). Caddies must dress in golf attire and should not wear golf shoes with spikes.
