MEMORANDUM TO PLAYERS
FORMAT, QUALIFYING PLACES, AND TIES
- FORMAT. 18-holes of individual stroke play
- QUALIFYING SPOTS. 1 qualifying spot and 2 alternates.
- PLAYOFF. A hole-by-hole playoff will be used to break a tie for the final qualifying spot, first alternate, and/or second alternate. All announcements regarding the play-off will be made at the public scoreboard upon completion of play.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2026
- 7:00AM..................Practice facilities open
- 8:00 - 8:12AM........Qualifying starting times
COURSE YARDAGE
The course has been set up in accordance with USGA championship guidelines. The yardage below corresponds to the club's blue/white combo with some adjustments. During the qualifier, play is from the USGA tee markers installed at these locations. The hole-by-hole yardage and par are shown below.

PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are available, please note the following:
- Dates: Tuesday, August 11 between 10:00AM - 2:00PM. Other dates may be available, just ask the pro shop.
- Fee: $60, includes golf cart.
- Scheduling: A practice round must be scheduled in advance. Call the pro shop (315-673-2679 - extension 3) to schedule a tee time, identifying yourself as a player in this field.
- Guests: A player may have a guest/caddie play. Please let the pro shop know when you schedule a time, the same $60 fee applies to each player.
WITHDRAWALS
Notify the USGA immediately if you must withdraw from this qualifier. Visit this website to withdraw and learn about the USGA's refund policy.
PUSH CARTS
The use of a push cart, whether manual or electric, is approved. A seat attachment must not be used.
GOLF CARTS
The use of golf carts is approved. The fee, paid by players in the pro shop before the round, is $23. Payment options include credit/debit and cash.
ONE-SEAT POLICY
The USGA's One-Seat Policy is in effect - if only two players are riding they must take one cart. Max of two carts per group. Either the player or their caddie can ride, never both at the same time.

PRACTICE FACILITIES
The driving range will be open to players at 7:00AM. Range balls are provided complimentary. There is a large practice putting green, which allows for practice chipping, next to the tee on the 1st hole.
TUSCARORA PRO SHOP
The pro shop will be open by 7:00AM. Payment methods accepted include credit/debit and cash.
REGISTRATION AND START OF PLAY
There is no player registration. Players may check-in at the pro shop to confirm their starting time. Report to your assigned tee, ready to play, 10 minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for announcements.
FOOD SERVICE
- Complimentary water and energy bars/bananas will be available for players and caddies on the golf course.
- Complimentary lunch will be provided to contestants following play.

LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
Listed below are a number of important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this qualifier.
- USGA LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION (HARD CARD) - click here.
- GROOVE CONDITION. The players’ clubs must conform to the grooves and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010. See Model Local Rule G-2. The exception for Ping Eye2 Irons manufactured before March 31, 1990 is not in effect - click here.
- CONFORMING BALLS AND DRIVER HEADS. Visit the USGA website for a list of approved golf balls and driver heads - click here.
- ONE BALL RULE. Is NOT in effect for any USGA qualifying rounds in 2026.
- DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES. For all USGA qualifying rounds, the use of distance measuring devices to measure distance only is permitted. If a player's device measures slope, it must be turned off for the entire round.
REQUESTING USE OF A CART
A disabled player or caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to their ability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To learn more and to submit the required form, click here.
SPECTATOR CARTS
A disabled spectator may be permitted to use a golf cart. As required by the ADA, the NYSGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To complete and return the required form, click here.
PACE OF PLAY
The NYSGA Pace of Play Policy is in effect.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The NYSGA Code of Conduct Policy is in effect.
EVACUATION PLAN
In the event of a discontinuance of play during the qualifier, players must adhere to the evacuation plan distributed by the Committee at their starting tee.
