Senior Amateur Four-Ball Championships

Format

18 holes of four-ball stroke play (gross and net).
 

Divisions

There are two divisions in this championship: Amateur (all ages) and Senior Amateur (ages 50+). A team must select the division in which they wish to compete during the registgration process.

 

Eligibility

This championship is open to teams consisting of two female amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

• Membership: Entrants must be members of the NYSGA, defined as (1) belonging to an NYSGA member club or (2) by joining the NYSGA directly as an eClub member.
• Age: To compete in the senior division, both members of a team must be 50 years old as of June 28, 2018. There are no age restrictions in the amateur division.
• USGA Handicap Index: Entrants must have an active, up-to-date USGA Handicap Index issued by their NYSGA member club.

 

Field Size and Wait List

The field will be limited to the first 52 teams that register. In the case where more than 52 teams register, a waitlist will be utilized ordered by the time entries were received.

 

Entry Fee

The entry fee is $225 and includes a round of golf with cart, access to the club's range, an exclusive tee gift dinner, and awards.

 

Rules

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The NYSGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

The tentative schedule of events is listed below. The finalized version will be sent to players after the close of entries.

 

Wednesday, June 27 - Practice Rounds

     9:00am - 11:00am................... Practice rounds are available as either morning tee times or shotgun (TBA)

Thursday, June 28 - Round 1

     11:00am - 12:35pm................Registration

     12:35pm - 12:45pm................Announcements

     1:00pm....................................Round 1 (Shotgun Start)

     5:30pm - 7:00pm....................Scoring, Player Dinner, and Awards

 

Awards

Trophies will be awarded to the winners in each championship division.  No gift certificates are awarded at NYSGA championships.

 

   

Refund Policy

The entry fee will be refunded if a team withdraws prior to the close of entries, less a $10 service fee.
