FORMAT & CUT INFORMATION
This championship is a three-day 54-hole stroke play competition. The field will be cut after 36 holes to the low 50% of players and ties in each championship divison (senior and super senior).
CHAMPIONSHIPS
Players compete in one of the two championships: the 62nd NYS Men’s Senior Amateur Championship (ages 55+) or the 23rd NYS Men’s Super Senior Amateur Championship (ages 65+). A super senior may compete in the senior division if notice is provided to the NYSGA by the close of entries.
AGE GROUPS
Players also compete for awards in the following age divisions: 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+).

PAIRINGS
Pairings for Rounds 1 & 2 will be available on this website and emailed to players on Thursday, September 13. If you have a tee time request for the 1st/2nd rounds (AM/PM vs PM/AM), we will do our best to accommodate you, but you must email it to Ryan Doyle at rdoyle@nysga.org by Monday, September 10.
REGISTRATION
It is requested that players register in-person at Mohawk on Monday, September 17. At registration players will receive important information for the event, receive their tee gift, and have their profile picture taken for online scoring.
If a player cannot register in person, please register by calling Deb Spilman, NYSGA Administrative Assistant, at (315) 471-6979. Failure to register may result in the forfeiture of your position in the field.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are available on Monday, September 17. Tee times may be scheduled through the championship website beginning on Wednesday, September 5. Instructions to schedule a practice round will be emailed to the players prior to this date. DO NOT CALL Mohawk to schedule a practice round.
CADDIES
A player may provide his own caddie. No caddies are available through the host club. All caddies will be required to use an NYSGA bib during practice and competition rounds. Bibs can be checked out before each round at the NYSGA registration table (license deposit is required). See the NYSGA's 'One-Seat' Policy regarding a caddies ability to ride in a golf cart.
GOLF CARTS AND THE NYSGA 'ONE-SEAT' POLICY
The use of a golf cart for all rounds (including the practice round) is included in your entry fee. The use of a golf cart is NOT mandatory. A player may carry his own clubs or use a manual or electric push cart.
The NYSGA's 'One-Seat' Policy is in effect. This policy permits either the player or his caddie to ride, but not both at the same time. If there are only two players riding in a group, they will be required to take one cart. Exceptions to this policy are made when the player's caddie has been approved for a handicap cart (see below).

RANGE
The range will be provided complimentary to players and available each morning starting at 7:00am.
FOOD SERVICE
The club's restaurant will be open throughout the week (cash and club charge only). The hours will be posted when available.
ON-COURSE WATER & SNACKS
Water bottles and fruit/snacks will be provided on the golf course for players/caddies only.

The NYSGA does not have a group hotel for this championship.
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION AND LOCAL RULES
Listed below are several important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this competition.
- Notice to Competitors: Please check your starting tee for the Notice to Players and NYSGA Hard Card.
- Conforming Clubs and Balls: Visit the USGA website (www.usga.com) for a list of approved golf balls and drivers for the competition.
- Distance Measuring Devices: Are permitted.
- One Ball Rule: The “One Ball Rule” will not be in effect.

DRESS CODE
The NYSGA will strictly enforce a tournament dress code with no exceptions. Collared shirts/mock turtle necks are required, and no jeans, denim, jogging outfits, or sweat pants are permitted.
PLAYER CONDUCT
Players and/or their guests must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times. Any excessive display of anger, vulgar language, club throwing, alcohol abuse, illegal drug use, lack of golfing etiquette or disrespect to a fellow player or any other individual may be grounds or disqualification from any tournament. The NYSGA reserves the right to revoke a player's tournament entry, without a refund, at any time for conduct deemed inappropriate or damaging to the NYSGA.
